I am lookin at the HMH Spartan or the Renzetti Traveler. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with one. I am looking to go pedestal because the clamp thing is kicking my tables but haha.

I've used a Traveler for about ten years. For most of my tying now, I use the Master vice but the Traveler can do it all almost as well.

I have a HMH standard which I love. I've heard that the spartans are great too but a couple people I've talked to didn't like them as much as the standard because the vise neck is shorter than the standard. If you compare the pics of the 2 vises on the HMH site you'll see the difference. Also, the HMH Isn't "true rotary" like the Renzetti but that makes no difference to me.

Both are good vises. I just like the looks and feel of the HMH better - seems more solid.
