Homemade cork floats a first pass.. Options

Decided to give it a go.

The most challenging part is actually keeping a steady hand to paint these things, I think if I could find a way to just dip them in the paint, then the lines would be more even, but hey, I don't think the fish care, just the angler. BigGrin

Drinking the wine out of the bottles was the most satisfying part of the task! LOL

Ha ha, Thill ain't got nothing on you pc! Btw, what are those little black gromit looking things? Do they hold the cork in place?

Thanks for the positive feedback.

The rubber grommets are actually for holding leaded weight collars to the floats.

I have figured out how to tap the cork to embed the lead collars inside the bottom of the cork so they are not visible.

I left the grommets on while turning the floats while painting them, so the floats would not walk left to right.

Should have some more fresh materials after this weekend - helps when we live so close to wineries. ;-)

We'll see what I can come up with next.
