Up in Maine, they used to have quite a tradition of trolling flies for trout and salmon. Here's an article with some ideas to start......

I have done well with a Magog Smelt:

There is also a very simple white maribou streamer I use: silver body, white wing and red throat. I tie them tandem style with a coated wire between the two hooks. You can string craft beads on the wire to snazz them up. Really, I have caught fish on many different patterns, and they all will work.

There are also fancier, more attractive flies I use, but I don't know your skill level.

Thanks for the references. I tried tying one tube fly with chartreuse an red colors. Not too bad for a first go, I included some emerald and chartreuse beads above the treble hook. Hope to try it soon.

Now if I could tell when there are weeds on the line, I wonder if there is a fly that handles that. hehe.
